- It will be this weekend at Bartolomé Mitre 434.
- They will perform “Talea or the Machine and the Mad Herbs,” “Satka,” “Crama,” “Lo podrido,” and “Ruá.”
After a successful presentation in the main hall of the Teatro Colón, the Contemporary Music Arthaus Ensemble will perform this Saturday at 8:30 PM and Sunday at 6:30 PM at their location on Bartolomé Mitre 434, with one of the most challenging concerts since their creation as a musical group.
Ten musicians under the direction of Pablo Druker will interpret the emblematic “Talea or the Machine and the Mad Herbs” by Gérard Grisey, “Satka” by Christophe Bertrand, both French, “Crama” by the Greek Panayiotis Kokoras, and two world premiere works from Argentine composers, “Lo podrido” by Iván Knees and “Ruá” by Agustina Crespo.
The fast and precise “Satka” sparks excitement, and along with the already classic “Talea,” it contrasts with the expressive noise of “Crama,” where the instruments transform into sonic propellers.
The Arthaus Ensemble this time includes Amalia Pérez (flute), Federico Landaburu (clarinet), Pablo Boltshauser (electric guitar), Bruno Lo Bianco (percussion), Marcelo Balat (piano), Grace Medina and Lucía Herrera (violins), Mariano Malamud (viola), Marina Arreseygor and Bruno Bragato (cellos), and Julián Medina (double bass). Actor Diego Starosta joins them, with text and direction by Ignacio Gómez Bustamante.
*The Arthaus Ensemble will perform on Saturday, September 7, at 8:30 PM and Sunday, September 8, at 6:30 PM at the Auditorium at Bartolomé Mitre 434. Tickets are on sale at Alternativa Teatral and at the door.
