What ideas did you have to change about what musical-theatrical creation is to adapt to a virtual format?
We were interested in thinking about the virtual instance as a micro-work within the work, a stage in the research and creation process, which functions as a work in progress but also receives feedback from the face-to-face instance; It is neither secondary nor does it end with what is shown on the web. From this first proposal we are obtaining inputs to delve into the content, which is worked together with the public visiting the site. This new format strengthened the challenge, leading us to investigate other ways of communicating from the artistic languages that we were originally going to carry out in a face-to-face stage-sound format.
Who is Rosario Vega?
We have the same question, and we are going through the process of answering it. To help us unveil who Rosario Vega is, we invite you and the readers of Ópera en Argentina to participate in our proposal available at the website of the New Opera Festival of Buenos Aires from 9/23 to 10/4.
How do contact with the public work in a piece mounted on a virtual platform?
In our case, the public completes the meaning of the proposal when passing through it. Both in this first virtual format and in the face-to-face format, we propose to be active “visitors”, rather than public or audience: make decisions about what is proposed and that by doing so they generate their own unique experience on this journey that will become as different as people inhabit it.
Rosario Vega, an apocryphal biography will be online from September 23 at 6:00 p.m., until October 4.
